Water Matters

Labtex continues to thrive and to find a balance between manufacturing and being eco-friendly advocacy. With the continuous support from our amazing customers, we have been able to give back to our environment and community even more. We have re-engineered the production process, so by 2021, we have successfully saved 770+ million liters of water.

Each year, Labtex is working with HOPE Run to support all of its waterworks around the world. Clean water is often the first step communities will take to end extreme poverty. Access to clean water fundamentally changes the lives of an entire community and enables families to plan for a hopeful future.

So, why water?

Because where there is water, there is life.

With water, families will not endure sickness from the very thing they need to survive. Through community driven planning, a holistic approach ensures the full benefit of clean water extends to every family.

Each day families traverse many miles to reach a pool of dirty water they will bring home to drink, bathe in, and cook with. Many will fall ill from the very thing they need to survive. But, clean water changes everything.

Every water system begins with the entire community gathering.

A “Water Committee” composed of community leaders is selected by the community to oversee the planning, construction, and maintenance of the water system.
Another group of community members works with HOPE to provide hygiene education to help families be their healthiest while enjoying new access to clean water.
